Visiting Papa

Sunday, March 21st my family went up to visit my grandfather that I lost in 01. He died of liver cancer. It was my first time visiting him since he passed. But only because I didn't know the correct spot that his ashes were spreaded. Here are some pictures I took on our trip.

7 weeks all ready!

Brooke is 7 weeks today. She is starting to not look so much like a newbie anymore. Her complexion is not looking so yellow or red and she is going to have blue eyes! She is starting to smile too which is always the best! Daniel as always is the bestest of help. Today I learned how long she can actually sleep with big bro isn't around. Which was nice cause I got alot done! :)

Can't post any pictures at the moment cause the computer isn't picking up my memory card...if it ain't one thing, it's another.

Calebs first birthday

Sunday we celebrated my nephews 1st birthday. He did great!! I don't think he knew what was going on, but what 1 yr old does? He was hilarious when it came to cake time. He started off taking finger tastings of his frosting and then once he realized that it wasn't coming in fast enough, he decided to just go all for it (pic #2). He got a lot of nice gifts. It makes me want to be 1 again...

Today Brooklyn is 4 weeks old. Gosh, I can not believe she is all ready a month old! I took a picture of her this morning to mark the day. I dug up a picture of Daniel around the same age.

So I am back in business

After four long dreadful months I have my computer back. No more using everyone else's computer to stay in contact with everyone. So in other words, you will be hearing from me more often :). Here are some pictures of the kids. Friday Brooke will be a month all ready. Hard to believe!! She is an easy baby. She does the normal: eat, sleep and poop. She loves to be held and sleeps best with momma.

I can say that its finally nice to unload my camera!! The 400 just in the month I have had it and to empty my old busted camera too!! Now off to printing out recent pix. Nothing like a house full of update pix of BOTH your of kids...right?

Brooklyn Renae

On Friday January 29th, 2010, Brooklyn Renae Shade was born at 1:55pm weighing in at 5lbs 15ozs and 20.1 inches long. The surgery went great. Better then I anticipated. I stressed all week about it. My recovery went okay with Dan compared to this one. I don't know if was the size of the baby or the doctor that helped, maybe both?? Dr. Dowswell did an amazing job! I wish I would have had him for Daniel. I impressed the nurses and family with my recovery and me being up and doing stuff the next day.

We have success with breastfeeding and Daniel loves her. I can't keep him off of her. He is so proud of her. Here are a few of the pictures I took in the hospital. If I loaded every single one, I would be here all day! She is identical to Dan minus the melon (the size of her head), oh and 4lbs!!!! Oh and of course the pictures are backwards...I tend to forget.

37 weeks and 1 week left

Hello - had an ultrasound this morning. The ultrasound machine estimated that she weighs around 6lbs 11 ozs. - a lot smaller than Daniel! Dr. D did discuss with me about doing a vaginal delivery since she is a lot smaller then Daniel. He did say however that there comes a lot of risks and complications with a vaginal delivery after a c-section because most women end up with another c-section anyway and the chances of infection is greater along with clotting. One risk that really stuck with me is if my uterus were to rupture the chances of loosing the baby is pretty high and of course I don't want to take any kind of risk like that. With her being that small she will prob weigh somewhere what I weighed when I was born. I was 7lbs and 4 ozs and I will probably end at the same weight gain as my mom. She gained only 20lbs with me and I am at 17lbs - but she also went 10 past her due date. 1 more week and we will see our new little baby!

Me with Daniel at 37 weeks - you can see how swollen I was
