Flagstaff

So what originally was a trip to Sedona - turned into a trip to Flag. It wasn't a bad mistake because as you'll see later on in my blog that there wasn't any snow in Sedona anyway. Chris and I took the kids up to see the snow on Christmas Eve. It had been forever since I last saw snow. I couldn't remember the last time I have been north during the winter time. It was the first time for the kids to see snow - not that Brooke will even remember it but still.

This is just out side of Strawberry/Pine area. Right as you start to climb the snow starts to slowly appear.

Brooke began to get kind of fussy. We decided that she was close enough in age to turn her carseat around.

And she sure didn't know what to think about that!

The snow started to start to build up more and more as we climbed.

We stopped in a place kind of on the way to snowbowl. It was a perfect place for us to play in the snow.

Chris taught Daniel what a snow ball is and how to throw it at people.

The beginning of a snowman.

Finally got him to look at me and smile.

Brooke self - entertaining while we play in the snow and take pix. 20 lbs gets heavy fast!

Right when the snow man was about done, he fell over!

Keeping my soda cold.

Snow man #2

The pictures are flopped but this is Daniel doing a snow angel.

Teaching Daniel about snow angels.

Daddy's little girl!

Pooped! She was out right as we got into the highway.

On our way!

We took the south way into Sedona. Formally known as Oak Creek Canyon. It was such a beautiful drive into Sedona.

As the sun set we saw that there was no sign of snow in Sedona so we turned back around to Flag to get a bed load of snow. Chris wanted to take snow back to the valley for the boys to play in on Christmas Day.

This is about half of what he shoveled. I got cold and Brooke was upset so I had to comfort her. Chris loaded all the way to the cab of the truck. By the time we actually got to play with the snow on Saturday it was about this much.
