5 months

While Chris and I were celebrating our 3 year anniversary, our baby girl was turning 5 months old. In that time she has learned to roll over, play with her feet, laugh, reach up and grab objects and sit in her bumbo without slouching. She has hit a lot of mile stones this last month.

The boys at play

The first Monday after getting the concrete done, I let the boys play outside while Brooke was sleeping. I figured they would play on the new patio but of course I should have known better. They played in the dirt piles that Chris is yet to use to fill in the trenches left. I took a few photos. I tried to get some cute ones of Caleb because he doesn't move as fast as Dan does.

2nd part of the backyard

Yesterday we had concrete poured to add on to our back yard and our pre-existing drive way. As you can see in the pictures our pre-existing patio is pretty pathetic. We had no room for anything!!! Our dogs water pool had to sit in the sun because we had no room for it on the patio. Our patio was 8x 12! Thats like prison cell size! The concrete came out beautiful. In some of the pictures you can also see where Chris added the gas lines for his future gas grill and smoker he would like to get and the flood lights off our patio. We had nothing for lights. So having all the add ons is going to be really nice. I took some before and afters. The backyard portion hasn't changed much because Chris was waiting for the concrete to be poured. There are more pictures to come after Chris plants some plants on the side of the new driveway. Due to our HOA regualtions we have to have atleast 5 plants on the left side of our house so last night Chris and I went and bought some plants since he hates floor covering plants because they harbor scorpians and crickets. So we bought some hibiscus and plantanas that will add some color to our yard as well.

The future place for our grass. Chris was testing out the sprinklers.

Our pathetic patio. Excuse the mess since everything is under construction.

Our new flood light on the side of the house so we can see creepers!

Working on the house

The last few weeks Chris has been working on the back yard. We found out a few months ago that we have 365 days from the time we closed on the house to have the backyard landscaped. Just another one of those things that we werent expecting. Here are a few photos in the process.

The backyard divided up for grass, concrete and planters

And after...
Things haven't changed much since Chris is shopping concrete right now. Alot of companies don't accept credit cards and unfortuantely thats the only method of payment we have right now since this was just one of those things we didn't have planned. Concrete should hopefully be paved in the next week and Chris is working on planters this weekend. Then after those two things are completed I think the backyard will start to come together.

4 months!

I have been slacking so bad when it comes to this post. As you all probably know Brooke turned 4 months old just recently. She is getting so vocal and social. She is very bashful and loves new faces. She is starting to play and interact with Daniel. Daniel loves his little sister. He still loves to hold her and he loves entertaining her.

Chilling in my big bros seat

She is so focused on this and wants to grab it

I wish this picture came out a little more clear. My camera kind of stinks when it comes to lighting.

First time swimming.
