Daniels Last Day of Tball

Saturday was Daniels last game of Tball.  I'm pretty sad about this.  Daniel was really starting to enjoy going and was asking every day when he was going back to Tball.  He was showing so much improvement on his motivation to get the ball; he was charging to get there and then throwing it to first base.  I can not tell you how proud I am of him!!

Not sure on what this is about.  I am still proud of him!

9/11

On Sunday 9/11 we rode up to Butcher Jones and had a family picnic.  It was real nice.  The lake wasn't too cold yet and it wasnt busy with its typical yoohoos that collect in the coves.

She didnt like the water at first.

We had hotdogs for our picnic meal

Tball

SO T-ball is almost over - I'm kind of sad about it.  As season goes on Daniel is getting more into it.  This last game he had proved that he was having more fun.  He is definitely making progress.

Daniel showing he can get that ball.

And throw it to first!

My mom always says he's the grand slammer because he is last to bat and since he's last and they don't have an real plays like an actual baseball game, he is the one to run all the bases in one run.

First Tball Game

Daniels first Tball game and he is at 3rd base!

This is his buddy Colton.  One of the other kids we signed up with and requested to be on the same team.

And I had to get a pic of the monsoon storms that come in in the afternoons.

Odies home

This last weekend we started a new project - Odies home.  Our last tortoise got eaten by the dogs.  It was a sad sad day.  My mom came across another tortoise and gave Daniel one for his birthday.  Now that we can't trust the dogs we are having to build a home for the new one.  We named it Odie - I suspect its a female since the bottom of its shell is flat.  Time will tell us.

Right here Chris is sanding down the posts so we can stain them before building it.
